Beyond you.

The Spirit of God is our helper — our faithful friend — and she is the one who helps us see beyond what we believe is our breaking point.

While the world tells us to push past our limits, the Spirit gently says, “Look beyond that place in your heart. Look beyond yourself.”
Through her eyes, we see more than what we know. The Spirit of God becomes the lens that brings clarity and truth into our view.

She leads…
She leads us into pleasant places.

Psalm 16:6 (TPT)

“Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you!”

The truth is, when we follow her, we will be stretched beyond ourselves — that’s undeniable. But we are never at a disadvantage when we journey with her.
So often, the pain we experience comes not from God’s plan but from our own plans falling apart. We cling to what we think is best, while she is guiding us into something far superior.

I am convinced of this:
When I follow the Spirit of God, I am taken only to pleasant places.
The Father, Son, and Spirit do not know how to forsake us. They cannot offer us anything less than their own goodness. If they long to share heaven with us, why would we ever suspect them of giving us something inferior? The struggle has never been about whether God will do good to us.The real struggle is whether we trust them enough to follow.

This must be settled in our hearts:
God cannot give an inferior life, even when we cling to our limited idea of what is “good” for us. Beyond our daily needs, beyond our ideas and strategies for how life should look, there is a subtle voice inviting us deeper:

“Come. Follow the Spirit.”

This walk is relational — it is nothing less than divine. God’s plan is always beyond us. Beyond our imagination. Beyond our definitions of what a “perfect life” should be.

Allow her to redefine your understanding of a life made whole, especially where your vision is limited.

“Spirit, lead me” may be one of the most dangerous prayers to pray — not because God will harm us, but because it means surrendering our own perfect plans. It means accepting that her way may look completely different from our expectations.

So jump into the river.
Let go of the need to control.
Rely fully on the Spirit alone.
