Being Present.

Hey! We are so glad you are here, and let’s jump into the topic of being present to be in the Presence.

For a season, I struggled deeply with being present. I could be physically in a room, but my mind was far away—stuck replaying the past or wandering into imagined futures. At first, I didn’t think much of it. Don’t we all drift like that? But gradually, I realized something important: these mental wanderings were keeping me blind to the presence of God.

God reveals Himself as “I AM WHO I AM”—the God who is here right now. His presence is constant, steady, unchanging. It is our awareness that slips, not His nearness. And when our thoughts are swallowed up by yesterday’s wounds or tomorrow’s worries, we miss the gentle, faithful presence of the One who is with us in this very moment.

Being present is not just a mental discipline—it’s a spiritual doorway. When we return our attention to the now, we return our attention to God. This is what began to reshape my walk with Him.

I started practicing simple stillness. I would sit in a quiet room, close my eyes, and allow my senses to settle. I listened to the sounds around me, noticed where my body was resting, and breathed slowly. Each breath drew me out of distraction and back into the moment. Once my mind and body were calm, I shifted my awareness toward the truth that the Holy Spirit was with me.

Sometimes I imagine the Trinity surrounding me. Sometimes I sensed the Holy Spirit holding my hand or resting a hand on my shoulder. These moments grounded me, they remind me that God’s presence isn’t something I need to chase—it’s something I need to become aware of.

When I felt His nearness, I lingered.
I would ask: *Holy Spirit, what do You think of me? What truths do You want me to believe about myself today?* And I listen. Often, what I sense is His love, His affirmation, His gentle reminders of how He sees me. From there, I share what is on my heart—the worries of the day, the things weighing on me—and God would often respond with a verse, a picture, or a word that brought clarity and peace.

These moments of being fully present transformed my prayer life. They help me stay connected—sometimes for an hour without even noticing the time pass. And after spending that time with God, I moved through my day with a deeper awareness that the Holy Spirit is with me wherever I go.

Of course, distractions still come. But the more I'm present, the easier it becomes to return to the awareness of His presence. Hosting the presence of God has become my priority, my anchor, and my way forward. we hope this will become your lifestyle too.

We hope this helps—but remember, consistency is the key.
Practice being present every day, and you will become more and more aware of His presence with you.
